The archives encompass library and archival materials, including books, newspapers, oral histories, manuscripts, photographs, film and maps. The core of our archives is an outstanding collection of approximately 45,000 historic images. Glass slides, negatives and prints portray the people of southwest Alaska at work, at home, at sea and at leisure.
